Introduction

Hello all,

The name is Cheenou Her and I'd like to welcome everyone to my awesome new blog. Some of you that are viewing may be family members, high school friends, college buddies, and LAN members and I'd like to stick strictly to that. I've always enjoyed reflecting on my daily life because I find it very beneficial to organizing my thoughts and maybe it will be a great experience for you to get to know me.

I don't want to bored you already so I'll start out with a short introduction. I was born in Thailand when my great grandfather was still alive and came to the United States when I was 5. Lived in Saint Paul and moved out to the suburbs because my parents always wanted to give us the opportunity to chase after the American dream. Some of you may recognize me from my position as President of Arlington High School during my senior year. I am currently pursing my Accounting Major at a private college and someday hope to work for some of my favorite firms.

In addition, I've taken a couple assessments, including the infamous DISC profile. I am a dominant high D and C. I'll break it down for those who are not familiar with assessment. It is an assessment that many people getting into the business workforce will eventually take. I am Dominant, meaning, I will have a demand for immediate results, I accept challenges, I make quick decisions, I like to take authority, and I like to solve problems. I believe this is mostly from my mom's side. And on the other side, I have a high level of conscientiousness. This in simple words means that I concentrate on key details, think analytically when weighing pros and cons, use systematic approaches and analyze performance critically.

As a closing note, I will try to post up new blogs every week, however this will be a challenge since my classes will take up most of my time. These blogs will focus mainly on where I'm going in life and also on technology/hobbies that I enjoy. Once in awhile I will rant about the Hmong Culture and maybe some of you may see different perspectives on this debatable topic. :) Cheers.
